J.D. Dewsbury (University of Bristol). Senior Lecturer in Human Geography. Key research concerns in environment, ethics and performativity.

Aaron Franks (University of Glasgow). PhD student in Human Geography, conducting research with climate justice activists So We Stand in Scotland. Former theatre actor, beginning to use social theatre as a research method.

Dee Heddon (University of Glasgow). Author, Autobiography and Performance (Palgrave, 2008); Co-author, Walking, Writing and Performance (Intellect, 2009), Devising Performance (Palgrave, 2005).

Wallace Heim researches, writes and teaches on performance and nature and she does this in many places. She is co-editor of the Ashden Directory and is currently a research fellow at the Social Sculpture Research Unit, Oxford Brookes University.

Paula Kramer (Coventry University). PhD student in Dance, practice-based research on non-stylised movement in the natural environment. Performs, teaches, improvises in remote rural as well as urban sites.

Sally Mackey (Central School of Speech & Drama). Author of “Performing Place: an interrogation through praxis” (in Practice-as-Research: in Performance and Screen DVD – Palgrave, 2009). Editorial board member for RiDE: The Journal of Applied Theatre and Performance.

Helen Nicholson (Royal Holloway). Author, Applied Drama: The Gift of Theatre (2005); Co-editor of RiDE: The Journal of Applied Theatre and Performance.

Tim Nunn. Writer, producer, and joint artistic director of Reeling & Writhing Theatre Company. Experienced public campaigner and human rights advocate.

Alison Parfitt. Freelance environmental consultant, with extensive experience in environmental and heritage interpretation for organisations including The National Trust, Countryside Agency, English Nature, Environment Agency.

Network Associates:

John Fox: AHRC Senior Research Fellow in the Creative and Performing Arts at Lancaster University. With Sue Gill he is also the Artistic Director of Dead Good Guides, ( Their previous company, Welfare State International (1968-2006), pioneered prototypes of site specific theatre, fire-shows, contemporary rites of passage, lantern parades and street music.

David Harradine. Working across performance, installation, photography and publication, David is artistic director of Fevered Sleep (  His practice chiefly explores light, landscape and place, and the interstices between artistic practice and everyday life.
